| The
current Boaz Public Library, built in 1978 and renovated ten
years later to include a children's section in the basement,
is too small to house its contents. In 1997 when Bill Gates
offered computers to Alabama libraries, the Boaz Public Library
had to turn down the offer because of the lack of space.
