tool that brings real meaning to science and math applications, while fostering
a strong awareness of our changing environment.
---
Boaz Middle School is working to establish a WeatherNetTM Station at the school to participate in this educational program. More than a weather station, AirWatch brings participation in AWS' exclusive Worldwide School Weather Network. AirWatch Interactive Software provides real time weather data from thousands of schools worldwide with the click of a mouse. Imagine the impact and learning opportunities generated through sharing data and experiences with partner schools. Another key feature is the WeatherBug which is available free for your computer. Downloading and installing the WeatherBug software gives you a great tool to monitor weather watches and warnings as soon as the National Weather Service issues them. The "Current Temperature" is displayed in the bottom right hand of your monitor whenever you are Online, and a "Bug Icon" flashes to alert you when weather warnings are issued. You can help establish a WeatherNetTM Station at Boaz Middle School by downloading the WeatherBug tool on your computer (instructions below). Cash donations can also be made directly by contacting Mylina Stanfield, 840-5428, (e-mail MylinaS@aol.com), or by contacting Boaz Middle School at 593-0799. The cost for the station is $3,995.00 plus installation/setup fee. Boaz area Businesses that contribute funding will have their name displayed on the website for free advertising. Please help us establish a WeatherNetTM Station at Boaz Middle School !!! --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- Instructions to Install the WeatherBug: Use the link below to go to the AWS WeatherNet web site. Once there you can take the "Tour" to learn more about the WeatherNet Station and WeatherBug tool, or you can go directly to the "Download" option. I choose download Option 2 and the download and installation was automatic and only took about 30 minutes to complete. Be sure to enter the Code 8HTKS
which credits Boaz Middle School with funds to establish a WeatherNetTM
Station.
