"The Whole Backstage in collaboration with Snead State Community College, recently performed an
encore weekend of The Fabulous Fifties, The Music of A Lifetime, conceived and directed by
Johnny Brewer. This original musical review was presented at the special request of Dr. Robert Exley,
President of Snead College. The Exley family learned of the success of The Fabulous Fifties, and other
shows, upon attending The Whole Backstage 2008 productions of: The USO and the American Spirit,
and The Sound of Music, both directed by Johnny Brewer. Soon afterwards, Dr. Exley invited Brewer
to revive The Fabulous Fifties and perform the production in the Bevill Center.

As one of America’s favorite decades to remember, the performers created an exciting and memorable
experience for the audience; with music, dancing and memories. Within the cast and crew, 19 of the 23
members of The Fabulous Fifties were students at Snead College, ranging from enrollments in the
1970’s to the present.
